HC Deb 31 July 1907 vol 179 cc935-6
MR. PIKE PEASE (Darlington)

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state what was the average amount of revenue acquired from the licences imposed on dealers in manufactured silver during the past five financial years.

(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) The average amount of revenue derived from licences to deal in gold and silver plate for the five years to 31st March, 1907, was £65,391. Licences to "deal in manufactured silver" are not distinguished from general plate licences.
