I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any portion, and, if so, how much, of the guarantee loan of £5,000,000 to the Orange River Colony is to be applied to the repatriation of †See (4) Debates, clxxviii., 1350. the burghers and to compensation to burghers.

The hon. Member's Question is not understood in the form in which he has placed it on the Paper. No question has arisen of guaranteeing a loan of £5,000,000 to the Orange River Colony.
