I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether the crofters in the crofting districts under The Crofters Act, 1886, have the use and benefit of The Ground Game Act, 1881.

THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. THOMAS SHAW, Hawick Burghs)

The Ground Game Act, 1880, applies to "every occupier of land" and therefore to a crofter. There is no Ground Game Act, 1881.
