HC Deb 30 July 1907 vol 179 c743
MR. FIELD (Dublin. St. Patrick)

To ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the sum of £1,800,000, as yet unpaid on the old Transvaal Loan has, by a book-keeping error, been allowed to remain outstanding; whether it is to be deducted from the principal of the new loan, or whether it is to be paid at all; and whether he can state what it is proposed to do in this matter.

(Answered by Mr. Churchill.) I am not aware of any error of the kind referred to.
