HC Deb 30 July 1907 vol 179 cc745-6
MR. E. GARDNER (Berkshire, Wokingham)

To ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether the Board of Agriculture have made an estimate of the total cost of the administration of the Small Holdings and Allotments Bill should it pass into law; and, if so, what is the amount of that estimate.

(Answered by Sir Edward Strachey.) The Answer is in the negative. It is impossible to forecast the probable cost of administration until we have some experience of the amount of work to be dealt with.
