Sir GILBERT PARKERI beg to ask the Prime Minister whether any permanent officials, with pension rights in other Colonies, transferred upon the responsibility of this Government to the Transvaal service, have suffered heavy material loss in consequence of changes connected with the new Government; and, if so, will they be duly compensated.
§ MR. CHURCHILLMy right hon. friend has asked me to answer this. I am not aware of any case in which the usual rules are not being followed in awarding the compensation due to such officers.
