HC Deb 29 July 1907 vol 179 cc486-7
COLONEL A. GARDNER (Herefordshire, Ross)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that the lapsing of the Light Railway Bill has caused inconvenience and loss in agricultural districts; and if he sees his way to introduce legislation on the subject during the present session.

MR. LLOYD-GEORGE

The continuance of the Light Railways Act of 1896 will be provided for in the Expiring Laws Continuance Bill, pending the introduction of further legislation on this subject. It has been my intention to deal will this matter in a Bill, but as I can see no chance of getting it through this year, I do not propose introducing it.
