§ MR. PICKERSGILL (Bethnal Green, S.W.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will state what is the nature and extent of the military drill given to lads under the Borstal system in Borstal, Lincoln, and Dartmoor prisons.
§ MR. GLADSTONENo military drill is given to these lads. They are instructed in the physical exercises laid down in the syllabus for elementary schools which was published in 1905.
