HC Deb 25 July 1907 vol 179 c125
MR. WEDGWOOD (Newcastle-under-Lyme)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, whether, after the infliction of fines upon Messrs. Meyer and Messrs. Stepney for bribery in connection with Army contracts, money was paid over to them without the deduction of the fines; whether the fines have since been paid; and, if not, who was responsible for paying away the security for the liquidation of the fines.

MR. BUCHANAN

My hon. friend evidently refers to matters dealt with in Section 12 of the Report of the Public Accounts Committee. An early opportunity will be given to the House of discussing the Report, and I must ask my hon. friend to defer his Question until the debate is reached.
