§ MR. LEA
I beg to ask the Prime Minister whether, having in view all the facts of the case and that the action of the works manager of the Ayrshire† See(4) Debates, clxxviii,13581598 Foundry Company in reporting to the Admiralty that it had been supplied with a defective rudder for the battleship "King Edward VII" had probably saved the country from a naval disaster of a national character, he could see his way to recommend a money grant to this man.
§ SIR H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMAN
I have nothing to add to the Answer given by my right hon. friend the Secretary to the Admiralty to a similar Question on the 17th of this month.‡
