HC Deb 24 July 1907 vol 178 cc1569-70
MR. WATT (Glasgow College)

To ask the Secretary of State for War what was the value of contracts placed in Scotland for clothing, etc., of the Regular Army and Militia during the last financial year; and what was the corresponding value of contracts placed in England.

(Answered by MR. Secretary Haldane.) The cost of the articles set forth in reply to a Question put by my hon. friend on the 17th instant amounted to £60,783.‡ Information as regards the cost of similar contracts placed in England in 1906–7 would involve considerable labour in preparation, and I hope my hon. friend will not press for it. † See(4) Debates, clxxvi, 1371. ‡ See(4) Debates, clxxviii, 1371.
