§ MR. J. M. ROBERTSONI beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether ho has any official information showing that in the first week of June a detachment of fifty Turkish troops occupied Bemba, on the frontier of Tripoli, and that the Egyptian Government had charged on officer of the garrison of Alexandria to proceed to the spot with a detachment and cause it to be evacuated; and whether he can state what has since occurred.
§ SIR EDWARD GREYThe Answer to the first Question is in the affirmative. An officer went to investigate, and by 8th June was able to report that the Turkish patrol had left Egyptian territory.
