FIELDTo ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state the proportion of higher appointments and staff officer-ships in. the Land Commission as com pared with the whole clerical staff employed in these offices; whether he can state the character of the distribution of higher appointments and staff officerships in this Department, bearing in mind these averages and the technical and legal nature of the duties assigned to the clerks employed in the Land Commission offices.
