§ MR. SLOAN (Belfast, S.)To ask the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that, in September. 1906, a memorial was submitted to the telegraph superintendent at Belfast by the local secretary of the Postal Telegraph Clerks Association, asking that a staff of male clerks might be sent to the telegraph counter at the head office; and, seeing that in March the men were informed that the change would be made as soon as the duties could be arranged, whether he can state the reason for the absence of effort to carry the promise into effect.
§ (Answered by Mr. Sydney Burton) I will have inquiry made and will communicate the result to the hon. Member.
