HC Deb 17 July 1907 vol 178 c697
MR. HUGH LAW (Donegal, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will introduce legislation amending the Land Law (Ireland) Act of 1881, so as to give to tenants who have been evicted and subsequently restored as future tenants the right of applying to have fair rents fixed.

MR. BIRRELL

I can only repeat the Answer which I have given to previous similar Questions, namely, that I am not in a position to make any statement as to the possibility or desirability of extending to future tenants the fair rent provisions of the Land Acts.
