§ MR. MEAGHERI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state whether the Estate Commissioners have yet investigated the claim of the representatives of Thomas Kennedy, The Islands, Urlingford, county Kilkenny, who were evicted from their holding on the Mountgarret estate; and, if so, what steps, if any, have been taken for their restoration to their own or an equivalent holding.
MR. CHEERYThe Estates Commissioners have inquired into Mrs. Kennedy's application for reinstatement. The present occupiers of the holding are not willing to surrender it, and the Commissioners therefore have not been able to arrange for the applicant's restoration.
