HC Deb 10 July 1907 vol 177 cc1614-5
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland upon what grounds have the Estates Commissioners refused to reinstate Samuel Rainey upon his former holding upon the Duke of Manchester's estate at Bandage, county Armagh, in view of the fact that both the landlord and the present holder of the land are willing that Rainey should be reinstated.

MR. CHERRY

The holding in which Samuel Rainey seeks reinstatement has been bought under the Land Purchase Acts by the present occupier. Having regard to the terms demanded by the tenant purchaser, the Estates Commissioners have not found it possible to arrange for Rainey's reinstatement.
