HC Deb 10 July 1907 vol 177 c1594
MR. SWIFT MACNEILL (Donegal, S.)

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that the council of discipline, which tries barristers practising in the native Courts of Egypt, is at present wholly composed of judges and the Procureur-General in his quality of magistrate; and whether he will advise the Egyptian Government, to secure for the Bar adequate representation upon such council.

(Answered by Secretary Sir Edward Grey.) The question is one of administrative detail which must be left to the Egyptian Government.
