HC Deb 10 July 1907 vol 177 cc1619-20
MR. GRETTON

having put a Question to the Attorney-General for Ireland on behalf of an absent Unionist Member,

MR. CHERRY

said he had written to the hon. Gentleman asking him to postpone it.

MR. SWIFT MACNEILL

Is it proper for one hon. Member to ask a Question standing in the name of another unless he has authority to do so?

MR. SPEAKER

It is desirable that such Questions should only be asked on the request of the absent Member.
