HC Deb 08 July 1907 vol 177 cc1142-3
MR. O'SHAUGHNESSY (Limerick, W.)

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will take steps to ascertain for the benefit for persons who have game licences in the county of Limerick, what is the foreshore at Muckinish Point, Coope Hill, on the Shannon, in the county, so that they may shoot over the place, without being prosecuted for trepass by the owners of the lands adjoining.

(Answered by Mr. Kearley.) I will make inquiries, and it will assist me in doing so if the hon. Member will bring to my notice full particulars of any proceedings which may be pending or threatened in connection with the shore in question. I may add that the Board of Trade are not prepared to admit that there is any public right of shooting over foreshores.
