HC Deb 08 July 1907 vol 177 c1152
MR. BRANCH (Middlesex, Enfield)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether it was with his permission that a band of the Royal Artillery was present at a Conservative meeting held on 22nd June at Southgate, Enfield.

When asking for twelve musicians of the Royal Artillery band to play at Southgate on 22nd ult., the applicant stated that the engagement was a non-political one. It was on those grounds that the engagement of the band was sanctioned.
