HC Deb 08 July 1907 vol 177 c1158
MR. SEAVERNS (Lambeth, Brixton)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, if he is now in a position to communicate to the House any further information regarding the possible withdrawal of Great Britain from the Sugar Convention.

MR. RUNCIMAN (for Sir EDWARD GREY)

My right hon. friend is not in a position to make any further statement for the present. The proposal which His Majesty's Government has made is before the other Powers, who are parties to the Convention, and it is not known what decision will be arrived at respecting it.
