HC Deb 08 July 1907 vol 177 c1146
MR. BARNES (Glasgow, Blackfriars)

To ask the Prime Minister, whether he has received a memorial, signed by over 220 Members of this House, asking for a full inquiry into the scope and effect of the changes which have been introduced of late years in respect of the entry and training of officers of all branches of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, and in the system of providing engine-room complements; and what action he proposes to take in the matter.

(Answered by Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman.) I have received the memorial in question, but I have nothing to add to the statements that have been made in Parliament on behalf of the Admiralty in regard to this matter.
