HC Deb 04 July 1907 vol 177 c868
MR. GILL

I beg to ask the Postmaster-General whether he proposes to allow any special facilities at the post-office to enable small employers to insure their workpeople against the liabilities imposed under the Workmen's Compensation Act; and, if so, will he state what those facilities will be.

MR. SYDNEY BUXTON

I have been giving careful consideration to the subject, and to the Report which the Departmental Committee made to me concerning it. I have not yet arrived at a decision in the matter. But, as recommended by the Committee, notices calling attention to the Act and the desirability of insurance are being displayed in post-offices; and a leaflet explanatory of the Act will be available at post-offices shortly.
