HC Deb 02 July 1907 vol 177 c539
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the constabulary at Athenry have been informed that an act of cattle mutilation has been perpetrated on the farm of Patrick Mitchell at Carnakilly; and whether any arrests have been made.

MR. BIRRELL

On the morning of 27th June the police at Athenry were informed that a small portion of the tails of two of Mr. Mitchell's cattle had been cut off during the previous night. The police at once visited the place and investigated the matter, but have not succeeded in discovering the offender.
