HC Deb 01 July 1907 vol 177 cc343-4
MR. HUGH LAW (Donegal, W.)

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he will take steps to extend the Qualification of Women (County and Borough Councils) Bill to Ireland, either during the passage of the Bill in another place or in this House; and, if not, whether it is the intention of the Government to introduce legislation of a similar character in the case of Ireland.

(Answered by Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman.) If there is any general desire expressed by Members for Ireland for the extension of this Bill to that country an opportunity will no doubt occur to effect this while the Bill is passing through this House, bur there is no intention of introducing a separate Bill for Ireland.
