HC Deb 01 July 1907 vol 177 c341
MR. GINNELL

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if any inquiries have been made or information prepared regarding the want of proper house accommodation for the working classes in towns in Ireland; and if he is now in a position to say that the favourable consideration which his predecessor promised to give to this subject will result in legislation next session.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Local Government Board are in full possession of the facts with regard to the housing of the working classes in the towns of Ireland. I am not in a position to give any undertaking as to legislation next-Session.
