§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland whether, in view of the fact that a Bill was passed last session providing meals for necessitous school children in England, he will state when he proposes to introduce a similar measure for Scotland.
§ MR. HAROLD COX (Preston)Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that all the School Boards in Scotland excepting Glasgow and Aberdeen have protested against this proposal?
§ THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND (Mr. SINCLAIR, Forfarshire)There are some 900 parishes in Scotland and I do not think a large number of them have expressed any opinion. Proposals with this object in view will be included in the Education Bill for Scotland, which, as I have already stated in answer to the hon. Member for Kincardineshire, I hope to have an opportunity of introducing on an early date.
