HC Deb 25 February 1907 vol 169 c1238
MR. FIELD

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether it is intended to introduce this Session a measure to reconstitute and and reform the Irish Lights Board; and whether there is Governmental supervision respecting the acceptance of tenders for their supplies.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) The constitution and administration of the Irish Lights Board, and of the other general lighthouse authorities, are at present under the consideration of a Royal Commission, pending whose Report I cannot say whether His Majesty's Government are likely to introduce a Bill dealing with this subject. The reply to the second part of the Question is in the affirmative.
