Gentleman aware to that the failure to erect this pier for some years has been solely due to technical difficulties, which have now to been removed, and will he see that the necessary Bill is introduced to enable the work to be carried out this spring?

CHERRYWhen our attention was called to the matter my colleague it and I were obliged to report that under the existing law the local authority could not spend money on the work without legislation. Whether it is possible to get a Bill passed to enable the work to be commenced this spring I cannot say.
