§ MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state the terms on which the Winn estate at Glenbeigh, recently purchased by the Congested Districts Board, will be resold to the occupying tenants; what is the number of years' purchase of the rent; and what decision has been arrived at with respect to the sporting rights.
§ MR. BIRRELLThis estate is to be sold to the tenants at the price which the Congested Districts Board paid for it, namely, seventeen-and-a-half years purchase, plus £200 for the game rights. Any advances which may be made to individual tenants for the building or improvement of houses are to be added to the purchase price. The holdings are to be sold exclusive of game rights, but upon the completion of the sale the game rights are to be conveyed to a committee nominated by the tenants, and the revenue is to be applied by the committee to the purposes which they may consider most beneficial to the property. The tenants have agreed to these terms.
