HC Deb 21 February 1907 vol 169 cc1015-6
MR. WEIR

To ask the Secretary of State for India, whether he is aware that the sub-divisional officer attached to the Bhola District, of India is irregular in regard to the holding of courts, and that it not infrequently happens that he alters his arrangements for holding a court without any public notice whatever, with the result that suitors and witnesses spend an entire day awaiting his arrival at a court to find eventually that the court was being held at some other place; and will inquiry be made †See Col. 702. with a view to the adoption of some satisfactory system of holding courts in this district.

(Answered by MR. Secretary Morley.) I have no information on this subject. If any irregularities can be shown in detail I will draw the attention of the Government of India to it.
