HC Deb 14 February 1907 vol 169 c309
MR. CROMBIE (Kincardineshire)

I beg to ask the Postmaster - General whether his attention has been called to the fact that, owing to the snowstorm, Aberdeen was for several days cut off from communication with the rest of the world, except by cabling to Norway; and whether he will take steps to hasten the construction of underground telegraph wires between Aberdeen and Glasgow.

MR. SYDNEY BUXTON

I have promised to see a Deputation shortly on the question of underground wires in Scotland and should prefer therefore to postpone any answer until after then.
