MACKARNESSI beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether his attention has been called to the fact that over 900 Chinese coolies were detained on the Rand awaiting repatriation; and whether these coolies are being repatriated for reasons connected with the report of Mr. Bucknill; and what is the total number of coolies repatriated or marked for repatriation for such reasons.
