HC Deb 14 February 1907 vol 169 c296
MR. FIELD

To ask the Chief Secreretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state how often the Board of Works meet, and how long it takes to consider and to reply to applications; whether he is aware that the Dublin Rowing Club made application for the site of a club house on the River Liffey many months since and have not yet received a reply; and whether he will have this application considered.

(Answered by Mr. Runciman.) The Board meets every day and holds formal meetings once a week. The hon. Member was informed, I understand, on the 6th instant that the Board was arranging for an interview with the representatives of the Dublin Rowing Club, and I now learn that this interview is to be held on the 14th instant. I regret the delay of which the hon. Member complains, but I am informed that the Board's decision had to await the settlement of questions of a more general character which has only recently been arranged.
