HC Deb 28 August 1907 vol 182 c432
MR. MORTON

To ask the Secretary for Scotland whether anything can be done to put the piers on the East and North coasts of Sutherlandshire in a better condition, so that the fishermen may carry on their business with some degree of safety.

(Answered by Mr. Sinclair.) The duty of maintaining such piers lies, as my hon. friend knows, with local authorities, who will, no doubt, consider each case on its merits.
