§ MR. W. R. REA (Scarborough)To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether the General Lighthouse Fund Accounts for the year ending 31st March, 1906, will be laid upon the Table of the House before the adjournment; and, if not, what is the reason of the delay.
(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) The accounts for the year ended 31st March, 1906, were presented to Parliament in December last. Complete accounts for the year ended 31st March, 1907, have not yet been received. The accounts will be presented to Parliament at the earliest opportunity after the necessary certificate of the Comptroller and Auditor-General has been furnished to the Board of Trade. I have given instructions that advance copies of these accounts shall he furnished as soon as they are received to the members of the Advisory Committee on new lighthouse works.
