HC Deb 27 August 1907 vol 182 cc394-5
MR. W. BENN (Tower Hamlets, St. George)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been directed to the hardship suffered by Catholic soldiers in barracks at Sheffield, Hounslow, and elsewhere, who desire to send their children to schools outside the barracks, but are not permitted by the regulations to do so; and whether he will so amend the regulations as to make it possible for these children to attend the school their parents desire.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) These and similar cases are now being inquired into, and I will consider whether any Amendment of the regulations is necessary.
