HC Deb 26 August 1907 vol 182 cc120-1
MR. SAMUEL ROBERTS (Sheffield, Ecclesall)

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether, in view of the-resolution as to the desirability of resuming the consideration of the question of the growing expenditure on armmaents carried at The Hague Conference, and in view of his announcement as to the additional battleship as part of this year's shipbuilding programme, he now proposes to proceed with the construction of such ship.

(Answered by Mr. Lambert.) It would be premature to anticipate the results of The Hague Conference, which has not yet concluded its deliberations.
