To ask the Postmaster-General whether, in view of the recommendation of the Select Committee that letter boxes should be provided by the Department, it is now incumbent upon the sub-postmasters to pay for the painting of the same.

)Answered By Mr. Sydney Buxton.) No change has yet been made in the rules regarding the provision of letter boxes. In considering the recommendations of the Committee the point mentioned by the hon. Member will be borne in mind.
