HC Deb 06 August 1907 vol 179 c1839
MR. MEAGHER

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to the suggestions of Mr. O'Carroll with reference to the Poor Law medical service; and whether, seeing the universality of feeling in favour of the findings of the Viceregal Commission on Poor Law Reform, he will consider the advisability of having the Commissioners' attention drawn to the suggestions and to the feasibility of adopting the plan suggested by Mr. O'Carroll.

MR. CHERRY

My right hon. friend's attention has been called to Mr. O'Carroll's suggestions on this subject. The Viceregal Commission on Poor Law Reform has concluded its inquiry and presented its Report, and I regret to say say that it would now be impossible to submit further suggestions to the Commission.
