HC Deb 06 August 1907 vol 179 c1816
MR. CLAUDE HAY (Shoreditch, Hoxton)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty what increase of expenditure since 1904–5 the present German Navy estimates represent; whether he can state the further increase for next year sanctioned under the German Navy Bill, 1906; and whether these sums allow for the further recent enlargement of the German programme for the purpose of increasing the dimensions and armaments of the German cruisers.

THE SECRETARY TO THE ADMIRALTY, (Mr. EDMUND ROBERTSON, Dundee)

The hon. Member has himself indicated the sources from which alone the desired information can be obtained.
