MR. STAVELEY-HILL

I beg to ask Mr. Attorney-General for Ireland whether he will state the number of cases in which he and the Solicitor-General for Ireland have personally prosecuted for the Crown since 1st April, 1907; and what has been the result in each case.

THE ATTORNEY - GENERAL FOR IRELAND (MR. CHERRY, Liverpool, Exchange)

Since the date named, the law officers of the Crown in Ireland have prosecuted in person in six cases. In one case there was an acquittal; in two cases the jury disagreed; and in the remaining three cases the trials have been postponed with a view to moving for a change of venue.
