LEAI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been drawn to a murder committed on the 24th instant in a railway carriage on the South; Eastern and Chatham Railway between Tattenham Corner and Purley stations; and what steps he proposes taking in order to protect the public from scoundrels who are attracted to race meetings in close proximity to the metropolis.
