HC Deb 29 April 1907 vol 173 c531
MR. LEA

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been drawn to a murder committed on the 24th instant in a railway carriage on the South; Eastern and Chatham Railway between Tattenham Corner and Purley stations; and what steps he proposes taking in order to protect the public from scoundrels who are attracted to race meetings in close proximity to the metropolis.

MR. GLADSTONE

As this Question arises out of and depends upon a criminal charge now pending before the: Courts, it is clearly impossible for me to discuss the matter.
