HC Deb 29 April 1907 vol 173 cc541-2
MR. WATT

1 beg to ask the Lord Advocate if he is aware that an official of the Extractors' Department, who had to discontinue his duties owing to ill-health after forty years' service, has not yet received any superannuation allowance or gratuity, although it is now nearly two years since he left; and if he will take steps to remedy this state of matters.

THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. THOMAS SHAW,) Hawick Burghs

The Answer given by me to my hon. friend on the 16th instant covers this Question.†This matter, as I explained, depends upon rules of the Treasury, and any further question upon the subject should be addressed to that Department. †See (4) Debates, clxxii., 953.
