§ MR. J. RAMSAY MACDONALDI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will lay upon the Table of the House the instructions under which district inspectors of factories assign duties to assistant inspectors, and those which define the scope and limits of the duties of assistant inspectors, both before and after the alterations which he has recently made in those duties.
§ MR. GLADSTONE1 am afraid I can add nothing at the present time to the reply on this subject which I gave to my hon. friend on the 18th February last. † As I then said, the new arrangements are, of course, provisional, and experience of their working will no doubt suggest developments.
