§ MR. MORTONI beg to ask the Prime Minister whether, having regard to his declaration last session that he was opposed to political pensions, he will now give facilities for the further progress of the Bill for their repeal, which has been read a second time without a division.
§ SIR H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMANNo, Sir, the declaration was of a purely 288 personal kind, and I am opposed to the cancelling of existing pensions contemplated by this Bill.
