HC Deb 25 April 1907 vol 173 c288
SIR SAMUEL SCOTT (Marylebone, W.)

I beg to ask the Prime Minister how many appointments have been made to permanent messenger ships in Government offices since January, 1906, and what was the occupation of the different men prior to appointment.

SIR H. CAMPBELL BANNERMAN

I am afraid that the labour in compiling this information would be out of all proportion to the value of the result.

SIR SAMUEL SCOTT

How many appointments have been made?

SIR H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMAN

I cannot say.

SIR SAMUEL SCOTT

The labour involved could not be very great.

SIR H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMAN

I have given the information supplied me by the Department.
