HC Deb 24 April 1907 vol 173 c69
LORD R. CECIL (Marylebone, E.)

I beg to ask the Prime Minister what progress, if any, has been made with regard to the Standing Order dealing with blocking Bills and Motions.

SIR H. CAMPBELL-BANNERMAN

The Government quite realise the importance of this matter and they are giving it their attention, but it is one of those; questions which can only finally be settled by general consent of the House. It appears to me, therefore, to be undesirable to be in too great a hurry to arrive at a solution.
