HC Deb 23 April 1907 vol 172 cc1575-6
MR. DELANY (Queen's County, Ossory)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can say what is delaying the reinstatement of John Tynan to his holding at Deny Keeran, Raheen, Mountrath, on the estate of Sir Kildare; Burrows; and whether, in view of the fact that Michael Dillon, an evicted tenant upon the Sheane estate, also in Raheen parish, has been reinstated, although the sale upon the Sheane estate was subsequent to that of the estate of Sir Kildare Burrows, he can explain the delay in dealing with John Tynan's application.

MR. BIRRELL

The Estates Commissioners are in negotiation with the owner for the purchase of the holding in this ease, with the object of reinstating the evicted tenant. The Commissioners have not yet been able to come to an agreement with the owner as to price, but are making further inquiries in the matter. There has been no undue delay in the case.
